Dan
Daniel is an experienced railway consultant, specialising in performance improvement, product development, and data science. Serving Trackbase as its Chief Executive Officer, Daniel is responsible for setting the overall company strategy as well as ensuring high quality services are delivered to all Trackbase’s customers. Daniel has over 10+ years experience working with key rail customers such as Network Rail, Train Operating Companies, and the DfT. Outside of work, you'll often find Dan cooking, reading, running, and (occasionally) watching football in the pub.

Rob
Rob is one of the co-founders of Trackbase and serves as its Chief Operating Officer. With a background in rail consultancy and operational roles across the rail industry, Rob leads on business operations, finance, and commercial strategy, drawing on extensive experience working with and within train operators and Network Rail to grow Trackbase's portfolio and ensure Trackbase continues its growth trajectory efficiently.

Sam
Sam is a leading railway data specialist with ten years’ experience designing and building the tools used by industry professionals to measure, understand and improve train performance. Having co-founded Trackbase in 2025 with Dan and Rob, he now leads the technical team and technical strategy alongside hands-on project work, particularly with NR’s TPI system. Sam also holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics, plays bassoon for the London City Orchestra, and sings bass in the BBC Symphony Chorus.
Jordan
Jordan is a Full Stack Engineer with a background in computer science. Since joining Trackbase, he has focused on supporting data centric products and user-facing products, working to make complex rail data more accessible and useful. He has a passion for the rail industry and is driven by the challenge of turning large, intricate datasets into clear, actionable insights. When he’s not programming, you can find him on top of a mountain somewhere.

Candice
Candice is a Data Scientist with over five years of experience. Since joining Trackbase in 2025, she has focused on supporting TPI - our large train movement database - and a range of projects centred on analysing and uncovering rail performance data working with SQL, Python, and Power BI. She strives to make rail data more accessible and to deepen her expertise in the domain. Off the clock, you'll likely find Candice with a coffee in hand, mid-crochet project, lost in an RPG, or gathered around a table for board games with friends.

Guillermo
Guillermo is a Senior Software Engineer who joined Trackbase in February 2025. Guillermo has over five years of experience in the rail industry, spanning Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and more. His work lies at the intersection of Data and Cloud Engineering, primarily supporting NR's TPI project. He currently works with Python, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines. When he's not engineering data systems, Guillermo enjoys a good chess match and time at the climbing wall.
Chris
Chris is a Senior Software Engineer with nearly a decade of experience in the rail industry. At Trackbase, Chris works across a portfolio of projects — including PPT and CAS — building systems that the industry use day to day. His work spans real-time systems, data warehouses, and customer-facing web applications. Outside of work you’ll find him parenting a toddler – equal parts joy and cardio.

Tyana
Tyana Tshiota is a Software Engineer focused on building efficient, user-centric applications that strengthen rail software delivery. Passionate about end-to-end development and technical problem-solving, she thrives on turning complex architecture into seamless digital solutions that directly improve operational performance. After hours you’ll likely find her on a padel court or at a hackathon, building, collaborating, and pushing creative boundaries.

Shane
Shane joined Trackbase as their first dedicated Technical Project Manager and now leads TPI (Train Performance Insights), a data platform serving Network Rail. He oversees product development, sprint delivery and stakeholder engagement while building reusable processes for agile delivery and support operations. With certifications in product ownership, agile delivery, Fabric and Azure, Shane focusses on mentoring teams through agile transformation and delivering value to users. When he’s not project managing, you can find him cycling around London, taking in the sights of the city.

Emily
Emily is a Portfolio Manager looking after our Control Space Products. She has a background in product design, getting involved in creating the vision of our products. With previous project management experience at Southeastern, she holds in-depth industry knowledge of product delivery within the Rail Sector. After hours, Emily enjoys exploring London’s art and fashion scene.

Françoise
Françoise is an Account Manager providing project management support for our timetable planning and performance improvement tools. Since joining Trackbase and the rail industry, she has quickly developed strong expertise in project delivery and product management. Françoise is passionate about delivering effective solutions and building strong client relationships. Outside of work, you can find her learning new languages, trying out new recipes or socialising with friends.

Maja
Maja is a HR & Operations Manager with 15+ years of experience across operations, human resources, administration and finances. Skilled in streamlining processes, developing effective people strategies and fostering positive workplace culture. Outside of work, Maja enjoys taking photos, spending time outdoors and being enthusiastically mediocre at CrossFit.

Julius
Julius is a Graduate Data Scientist with an integrated Master's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Durham University. He specialises in statistics and machine learning, with a particular interest in computer vision. Julius joined Trackbase as the company's first intern and now develops predictive and statistical models using complex railway datasets.
